Actor Acoryé White, who stars as the teenage past life in the vengeance meets reincarnation thriller feature film One and the Same, available now on iTunes and Amazon Prime from Gravitas Ventures.
What is the premise of One and the Same?
Written and directed by Felipe Cisneros, the storyline is described as: When a young woman, Lola, is invited to a secret facility, she discovers an experiment beyond space and time. After uncovering her own past self, a teenage boy named Robbie (White), she embarks on a malevolent path for justice against the ex-con who killed him.
What does Acoryé White have to say about the film?
“Working on this project was emotionally testing due to the level of depth needed while developing my character Robbie. l loved the challenge and living in that headspace for those moments. Felipe Cisneros has been one of my favorite Directors to work with as well. Working with him was like looking in the mirror. Each time he wanted or needed something from me, it happened and vice versa. I look forward to working with him again on other projects to come.”
Where else have we seen Acoryé White?
Acoryé just emerged in the intense BET+ original romance movie Never and Again, executive produced by Master P and Romeo Miller. Acoryé stars as a young teenage version of Kevin, who falls head over heels in love until tragedy and one horrible lapse in judgment tears the young couple apart. Jackie Long portrays the older Kevin in the movie also stars Denise Boutte, Denise Garcia as a young Jasmine, Christian Keyes, Bebe Drake, Ella Joyce and Vanessa Simmons.
Prior to this, Acoryé appeared as Alfre Woodard’s son in the Netflix original film, Juanita; and appeared in the Pure Flix original series Son of Thunder, and in the Vision Films action feature, Point Man.
What’s next for Acoryé White?
Acoryé will star along with Laurence Fishburne, Milo Gibson, Abigail Hawk, Noel G, and Glenn Morshower in Under the Stadium Lights, directed by Todd Randall and based on the true story about the ’09 Abilene High School Football. Plus, he steps in for the new Voltage Pictures horror, The Seventh Day, directed by Justin Lange and starring Guy Pearce, Stephen Lang, Keith David and Vadhir Derbez.
Acoryé has also started creating projects under his Anchored Lens Productions banner. He is finishing up a TV pilot he wrote and directed, and plans to direct his first feature film next.
