Actress Dianna M. Cruz, who parties like a true ‘Bestie’ in the new teen comedy film This Is The Year. The film will have a special live virtual screening on August 28th to benefit the Plus1 COVID-19 Relief Fund.
The film comes from executive producer Selena Gomez and her Wizards of Waverly Place co-star David Henrie, who wrote the script and makes his directorial debut.

The film is described as: In a last-ditch effort to win over the girl of his dreams, THIS IS THE YEAR follows a nerdy high school senior (Lorenzo Henrie) and his best friends on a road trip to see their favorite band at the biggest music festival of the year, only to find true love in the most unexpected place. Also heading to the festival, Zoey (Alyssa Jirrels) stops at a motel pre-party to meet up with her best friend Liz (Cruz), which turns out to be more than just a night full of dancing and fun.

“It was such a joy working with director David Henrie and the entire cast. Everyone made me feel at-home while filming in Mobile, Alabama. Funny enough, one of our night shoots was on Halloween eve, so it felt like an actual party!”
