Actress Helen Madelyn Kim who is currently recurring as ‘Lexi’ on Lifetime’s new dramedy series American Princess.
The series comes from creator-exec producer Jamie Denbo and exec producers Jenji Kohan, Tara Herrmann and Mark A. Burley, the team behind Orange is the New Black.
When Upper East Side socialite Amanda (Aussie actress Georgia Flood) has an awakening and impulsively joins the Renaissance fair after her storybook nuptials are dramatically derailed. Her new-found life choice is much to the shock and confusion of her New York friends, including the slightly ditzy Lexi (Kim).
Can Lexi and the other besties convince Amanda to come to her senses and head back home?
Spoiler alert — nope…that’s the entire premise of this series!
Where else have we seen Helen Madelyn Kim?
Most recently, Helen recurred as Megan in Season 2 of Marvel’s teen-focused superhero Hulu series, Runaways, which follows a group of teens who run away after discovering their parents are super-villains. The teens meet Megan (Kim), a millennial working at a PRIDE Foundation Facility.
Helen’s credits also include appearances on the Netflix comedy Glow and Freeform’s romantic drama Famous In Love with Bella Thorne.
What else do we know about Helen Madelyn Kim?
A Los Angeles native, Helen known as a “Korean American tough cookie with a soft edge.” She started acting during high school, earned a college degree in Theatre and then moved to New York where she studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse NY and the People’s Improv Theater (The PIT NYC). She also performed regularly with the improv team Mass Hysteria! Eventually, she made her way back home to the left coast.
