What is the premise of PICK?
Described as: centering around Alliyah (Hazel Downey), a young girl who wears her afro to school on picture day and must deal with the unexpected consequences.
Jessica plays Alliyah’s single, white Mom, struggling to help her mixed-race daughter deal with her kinky hair, an issue she has never experienced herself.

The film received a nomination for a 2020 Canadian Screen Award (CSA): Best Live Action Short, which has been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
