Actor Jimmy Walker Jr., who brings laughs as ‘St. Louis’ on the new Peacock original comedy series, Bust Down.

What is the premise of Bust Down?

Bust Down is described as an original six-episode ensemble series is created by and starring Sam Jay, Chris Redd, Langston Kerman, and Jak Knight as four casino employees living dead-end lives with dead-end jobs in middle America. They must navigate obstacles and opportunities in and out of the workplace, during their exploration of what happens when all of the answers to life’s problems are bad ones.

In the episode “Won’t He Do It,” the guys run into the boisterous eavesdropper St. Louis (Walker) who stirs up some mischief at their local church.

What does Jimmy Walker Jr. have to say about working on this show?

“I was thrilled to work with Chris Redd, Langston Kerman, Sam Jay and Jak Knight, whom were all producers and comics,” explained Walker. “I was ever more excited when Chris shared with me that upon seeing my audition, they stopped the auditions for “St. Louis”, and chose me. This is coming from a guy who’s on two other network comedy shows, SNL and Keenan. It is always flattering when other comics think you are funny.”

Where else have you seen Jimmy Walker Jr.?

Jimmy has been very busy lately with roles on the big and small screen. Currently, he can be seen opposite Will Smith as a patron at the local park tennis courts where Venus and Serena Williams practice in the Oscar nominated film King Richard.

Also, Jimmy returned this season as the military veteran and bar patron Walt on the CBS comedy, United States of AL. He also recently appeared on the new NBC comedy series Grand Crew.

His credits also include the films The Hammer and The Wedding Year, and TV shows My Name is Earl, ER, Lethal Weapon, and AJ and The Queen. He is the voice of ‘Roscoe’ in the animated series Black Dynamite The Animated Series, and narrated the children’s movie Labou.

What is Jimmy Walker Jr. working on next?

Jimmy will appear in the new action-western feature film, The Outlaw Johnny Black, reuniting him with director and star Michael Jai White, after working together on the Sony Pictures comedy, Black Dynamite. He also recently wrapped a role in Roku’s biopic, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, starring Daniel Radcliffe.
