Actress Lynn Downey, who recurs as Marlene Dunne in the new limited series, Daisy Jones & the Six, streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.
The series comes from the Academy Award nominated writing team of Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, and executive producers Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Levy Neustadter.
What do we know about the show?
Daisy Jones & the Six is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best-seller as is described as it: chronicles a fictional ‘70s-era rock band, inspired by Fleetwood Mac, in their meteoric rise from obscurity to fame, until they suddenly call it quits one night after a sold-out show. Decades later, the band members agree to reveal the truth.
Lynn Downey joins the cast Marlene Dunne, the single mom of Billy (Sam Claflin) and Graham (Will Harrison). She is kind-hearted and proud of her boys, who leave their working-class roots to team up with Daisy Jones and create a rock band.

She has also appeared on the television shows The Rookie, S.W.A.T., Deputy, and Henry Danger, and the feature films Faith Based and The People’s Joker.
What else has Lynn Downey been working on?
Setting her sights on creating projects, Lynn created and starred in the world premiere stage adaptation of Shauna Niequist’s best-selling memoir, Cold Tangerines. She also co-created and starred in the award-winning comedy web series, Life Group, and the dramatic short, Things That Birds Say.
Lynn is currently finishing the script for her first feature film. She is also working with her husband, actor-comedian Dan Braswell, to develop the sitcom loosely based on their life together called Livin’ the Dream.
