In the recent “South Winds” episode, Koda appears as Freddie (Beschen), who persuades his buddy to steal a canoe and head to the ocean. As dangerous waters arise, they go missing and the team is sent on a search in the open water for the stranded teens.

Koda grew up on the North Shore in Hawaii, so it was fun to return home again. “There was a very supportive cast and crew filled with local talent and the aloha spirit,” explains Koda. “Getting to shoot in what I consider the most beautiful location in the world and share that with audiences is both fun and amazing,”
What is the movie Wrong Place, Wrong Time all about?
It follows Kacey, a cop’s daughter who breaks into a random house with her friend Juan (Beschen). While inside, she watches both her friend and the man whose house they were burglarizing both get killed by two strangers. This forces her to team up with an unlikely ally in order to unravel the deadly mystery before becoming the killer’s next target.
What was it like to work on this movie?
Koda shares, “This was a demanding shoot in the way that every actor dreams of. Lots of physical acting and very effortless direction from Chris Stokes that made it fun and light.”

You’ll likely recall the newcomer when he made his television debut on another Hawaiian island series, the Disney+ medical dramedy reboot Doogie Kamealoha M.D. Koda has also been gaining attention on the indie film scene, most notably for appearing in the short, Poppy.
